Simberi Gold Corporation (“Simberi”) (TSX Venture
Exchange: SAU) announced today that it is one of a number of companies selected by the
Ontario Securities Commission (“OSC”) for continuous disclosure review. As part of that
review, the OSC has determined that Simberi’s MD&A disclosure for the year ended
December 31, 2004 and for the three quarters ended March 31, June 30, September 30,
2005 should be revised to more completely comply with regulations. Accordingly,
Simberi intends to revise and re-file its MD&A for those periods.
Simberi Gold Corporation is a junior resource company focused on the exploration and
acquisition of developed precious and base metal projects internationally that have
delineated resources. The Corporation’s objective is to aggressively explore and invest in
a limited number of precious and base metal properties that have significant potential to
become a metal producer within a short time frame. Simberi’s main exploration property
is the Kakanda copper/cobalt project located near Lumbumbashi in the Democratic
Republic of the Congo.
