Simberi Mining Corporation: TSXV Approval of Name Change

Simberi Mining Corporation ("Simberi") (TSX VENTURE: SAU) is pleased to announce that it has received approval from the TSX Venture Exchange of a name change from "Simberi Gold Corporation" to "Simberi Mining Corporation". The name change was approved by Simberi's shareholders at the annual and special meeting held on July 24, 2006. Simberi will commence trading under its new name on August 9, 2006. Simberi's common shares will continue to trade under the stock symbol SAU.
