Simberi Mining Corporation Grants Stock Options

Toronto – June 18, 2007 – Simberi Mining Corporation (TSX-V: SAU) – Simberi Mining Corporation ("Simberi") announces that subject to regulatory approval, it has granted 100,000 incentive stock options to an officer of Simberi. The stock options, which vest quarterly over an 18 month period, are exercisable at a price of $0.10 for a period of 5 years from the date of grant.

Simberi is a junior resource company focused on the exploration and acquisition of developed low cost precious and base metal projects internationally. The company’s main exploration project is the Kakanda Project located in the DRC. Simberi is also involved in several joint venture projects in Western Australia. The company’s objective is to aggressively explore the potential for investing in a number of precious and base metal properties with the aim to become a metal producer.
